Disability Backup were pleased to attend the Paralympics event outside the town hall on Wednesday 17th September. There were many information stalls and performers, a big success was the man in pink leggings twirling many hula hoops all at once!
It was great to meet so many people there, Disability Backup had a stall and signed people up to the forum.
Disability Backup is launching a new disability forum.
It aims to give disabled people a voice by holding regular, user led meetings in Hackney.
We will work closely with the council to improve access to and quality of services.
With your help, the forum can make a real difference to the lives of disabled people in the borough.

The forum is for disabled people to have their say, We want to hear from you about possible topics of future meetings, the times that you want to meet, how often you want meetings and who you want answers from! Please keep this in mind when you come to the launch and help us make this forum user led! You can always email, phone or write your ideas to Catherine on the details below. |
